| Teaching Specialty | | Mr. Fink teaches newspaper management, contemporary American newspapers, opinion writing, public affairs reporting and ethics. |
| Research Interests | | Mr. Fink has published nine journalism textbooks, including Strategic Newspaper Management and books on ethics, business news writing, opinion writing and sportswriting. |
| Experience | | For 21 years, Mr. Fink worked with Associated Press as a reporter, editor, foreign correspondent and vice president. Subsequently he served as executive vice president of Park Communications, a newspaper and broadcast company. Mr. Fink is also a consultant to newspapers. |
| Awards | | In 1992, Mr. Fink received the University's prestigious Meigs Teaching Award, in 2001 the Faculty Service Award by the National Alumni Association, in 2002 the National Journalism Teacher of the Year Award from the Freedom Forum, and in 2004 the Regents Teaching Excellence Award. He was named Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor in 2004. |
